Angkorian temple Bakong at Roluos (late 9th century) 881.<br />
Bakong is the state temple of Indravarma I at Hariharalaya, the ancient capital city of the Khmers. Bakong was the first temple-mountain, the five tiers of its pyramid, and other elements, symbolizing Mount Meru. Bakong was dedicated to the worship of Shiva.The foundation stele describes the consecration of the linga Sri Indresrava in 881.
